Encounters - a print exhibition by Carne Griffiths

The Tiger Encounter by Carne GriffithsQuirky Fox’s final exhibition for 2017 features the work of internationally renown artist Carne Griffiths.

Carne whose work has graced the cover of publications such as the New York Observer and been commissioned by Microsoft, Peroni and Ibis Hotels is showcasing a collection of prints in his exhibition ‘Encounters’ including a print exclusive to Quirky Fox.

Carne, who spent time in New Zealand as a boy, works primarily with calligraphy ink, graphite and liquids, such as tea brandy, vodka and whisky he draws and then manipulates the drawn line. Exploring both human and floral forms, Carne is fascinated by the flow of line and the ‘invisible lines’ that connect us to the natural world; his work is often an emotional response to images and situations encountered in daily life.

The works showcased in the exhibition have been selected by Carne as most representative of his style and are from small prints runs with editions as low as twelve.

‘Encounters’ opens Saturday 11 November.
