Something Blue - a celebration of glass and ceramics

Boxy Boys by Di Tocker

Boxy Boys by Di Tocker

Contrasting styles and mediums come together in this group show featuring four award winning New Zealand artists.

'Something Blue' features works by ceramic artists Sue Scobie and Kate McIntyre sitting next to glass works by Di Tocker and Katie Brown. Each of the two artists working within the same media have contrasting styles and techniques: Kate's hand carved works deviate from Sue's pinched and coiled pieces; Di's cast glass creations differ from Katie's dramatic blown glass sculptures.

The four artists have each produced three to five works with at least one of the works featuring the colour blue giving the name of the exhibition.

'Something Blue' opens Saturday 6 May 2017.
