It's hard to believe that 'Goblin Forest' on the slopes of Mount Taranaki is real. Looking like something from a fantasy novel, kamahi trees have grown through and around existing trees, creating the distinctive gnarled, twisted forest. Hanging mosses, liverworts and ferns have added to the strange effect.
Photographer Jeremy Becker has caught this surreal forest in the perfect light adding to its sense of mystery and quietude.
'Goblin Forest' is a fine art open edition print from photographer Jeremy Beckers. Printed on Smooth Cotton Rag 300gsm archival paper with Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks the print has been matted using archival matboard.

Jeremy Beckers is a Taranaki local who is passionate about the region, mountain and nature in general.
Through recreational climbing and many years as a search and rescue volunteer, Jeremy has gotten to know the mountain and his many tucked-away but scenic locations.
Usually carrying camera equipment and often make numerous return trips to specific locations to capture scenes during particular seasons and lighting, Jeremy's knowledge of the mountain shows in his photography: "my photography is often a result of many hours of walking and climbing prior to sunrise or after sunset to or from remote locations. I love the challenge and enjoy sharing the beauty of Taranaki."
