Lillian Albertha | Original

Rachelle Sutherland

"Youth, agedness and all that comes in between."

Part of Rachelle's Sutherland's latest body of work 'materfamilias' which explores the matriarchs from our past and present, 'Lillian Albertha' has been created by using dot after dot in a method called stippling.

Throughout the 'materfamilias' series, the rose represents what is passed on from one generation to the next. It can be manipulated, it can evolve: history can't be changed, but what we carry into the future can be.

'Lillian Albertha' has been framed in a distressed silver frame with a double mat.
