'Stand at Dawn' is part of a series of works by Evan Heasman, aka Soju Shots, completed during New Zealand's first lockdown as both a way of connecting with others and processing the strange reality of 2020.

Evan uses watercolours to paint individual elements which he then scans and collages together to create each of the works in this series.

Based in Whangarei, Evan Heasman (aka Soju Shots) draws inspiration from fairytales, mythological creatures and Lemony Snickett type characters to bring forth a new generation of hero’s, heroines and victims.

Working in a variety of mediums, Evan's art is ironically gothic and identifies with the naive and comic book in the same breath.

Evan’s work has been published in contemporary magazines, books and websites.
Postage within NZ: Within New Zealand all items over $150 are couriered free of charge. Orders under $150 incur a $7.50 courier charge. We aim to send out orders received the same day (within business hours) for delivery within 2-3 days of your order.
