Woodworker Grahame Roberts has created eight Christmas angels from 5,000-year-old swamp kauri for our Christmas showcase.

Each angel has been carefully shaped and finished bringing out the grain of the kauri. The wings are made from resin-rich pieces of kauri giving them a slight glow. Grahame's signature and the edition number is stamped at the base.

The angels come packaged in a custom box with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist and editioned. History of swamp kauri and care instructions for your angels are also included.

Grahame Roberts crafts a range of beautiful hand crafted products using Ancient Swamp Kauri timber from his workshop in Whangarei.
This timber has been buried in the swamps of Northland, New Zealand for up to 60,000 years making it the oldest workable timber in the world. Swamp Kauri has an absolutely stunning range of color and pattern and is simply like no other timber.
Using mainly hand tools, some of which are antiques, Grahame creates jewellery boxes,serving platters and boards, finding pleasure in selecting an unattractive piece of timber and revealing the beauty that can lay beneath the surface.
No two pieces of work are the same, even when made from the same piece of timber using the same design every piece will be unique, such is the beauty of this special timber.

Postage within NZ: Within New Zealand all items over $150 are couriered free of charge. Orders under $150 incur a $7.50 courier charge. We aim to send out orders received the same day (within business hours) for delivery within 2-3 days of your order.
International Postage: We are happy to send items worldwide, simply email us the product you are interested in and we will give you a quote within 24 hours - we prefer to do this over calculating the postage at the checkout as it ensures you get the most accurate price.
