Anne Breymann: Art Picks

As part of our ‘Artist Spotlight’ series we ask each participating artist to share which two pieces from the Quirky Fox collection they would be tempted by.

Anne Breymann’s picks showcase her inclination towards magical and mysterious beings and worlds.

Lupetta by María Gordon

The enchanting art of Maria Gordon always makes me feel like diving deep into a dark fairy tale. I love the calmness of her characters, and the mysterious stories they tell.

I imagine Lupetta might be the sister of the Strange Lady, another one of Maria’s beautiful creatures, who is watching over my studio.

Guardian Spirit by Tach Pollard

The Guardian Spirit from the Albion Collective by Tach Pollard feels like a magical creature from an ancient world.

I’m in awe of how Tach carves his slender graceful beings from gnarled tree roots, following the natural shape of the wood.
