Despite working in various mediums it wasn’t until Kylie Matheson was introduced to clay she was able to combine her love of creativity with her passion for animals.
Clay allowed Kylie to render the textures movement and depth of animal fur and feathers like no other medium had given her the opportunity to do.
Her signature style of loose textures, and evidence of her manipulation of the medium, are accompanied by recurring themes of relationships and symbolism.
Her works often feature an arrow tattoo paying homage to her grandfather.
