Emily Walker
Auckland based illustrator, Emily Walker has worked in various creative industries including special effects make-up, hairdressing, face painting and illustrating children’s book.
Emily draws inspiration from the natural world and combines it with her love of fantasy to create vibrant, dreamlike illustrations:
“I have an appreciation for the imagination, and try to capture the essence of a world where anything is possible. I personally feel there is no point in drawing something you can see in reality but instead, I want to create a style that invites viewers to escape into a world of dreams, where the ordinary is transformed into the extraordinary.
I want to make my art a celebration of creativity, nature, and the infinite possibilities that lie within the imagination. Through my art, I invite others to connect with the magic around them and embrace the wonder that exists in the everyday.”
