Sybiline
A graduate of Université Laval with a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts, Sybiline is a realism and surrealism artist based in Quebec, Canada.
She describes her work as a testimony to what it is to be alive, whether it is people, animals or silent nature:
“I want each work to be part of a greater whole, urging the viewer to share my vision. This is why animals are also such a precious subject for me. With these magical creatures, we never really know what they are thinking, leaving many possibilities for interpretation. I like to represent them in my art as our equals; with a greater intellectual power than we assume.“
She often frames her works herself using marquetry techniques, inspired in part by her father (a wood turn and craftsman).
In 2024, Sybiline won first place in the Trekell Art Supplies Pet Portrait Contest with her oil painting "Hypnotique".
