Lorena Kloosterboer
Lorena Kloosterboer is a Dutch-Argentine artist who creates visual poetry through her use of colours, light, shadows, textures and reflections.
Inspired the Dutch Golden Ages still-lifes, Lorena depicts a variety of subject matter striving for an elegant, timeless yet contemporary look.
Currently working in acrylic, Lorena’s work conveys her thoughts about life through metaphors and symbolism. This symbolism—representing higher ideals, such as wisdom, awareness, and growth—may not be immediately obvious, yet Lorena believes these messages reach the consciousness of those open to them.
Currently based in Belgium, Lorena’s work has been exhibited in over 150 galleries, 30 museum exhibition, and 15 countries. Her work has received various prestigious awards and been published in multiple magazines and books including a book by art historian Professor Katlijne Van der Stighelen entitled Vrouwenstreken, Unforgettable Female Painters from the Low Countries from 1550 until today, where she is named as one of the 100 most noteworthy women artists of the Low Countries.
