Anna Evans
Moving from the typically grey skies of Rochdale, northern England to New Zealand at age nine had a lasting impression on Anna Evans. Even at a young age she could appreciate the rich and vibrant colours in the sky, sea, flora and fauna of her new home land. It is these early observations of light, vivid colour, textures and diverse ecosystems that continue to inform Anna Evan’s work today.
Anna graduated from Elam School of Fine Arts in 2004 before going going into full time employment as a children’s book illustrator, games designer, arts educator and painter.
Anna lives in the rural far North, surrounded by her floral and vege gardens.
